Difference and working principle of air-cooled and water-cooled chillers
Time:2022-01-20

Industrial water chiller is an essential temperature control equipment in industrial production. Although many industries are using industrial water chillers, what is its working principle? What's the difference between air-cooled and water-cooled? Next, let's briefly analyze it.

1. Working principle of industrial water chiller

The whole working principle process of industrial water chiller can be roughly divided into three parts: water circulation system, refrigeration circulation system and main control system. The water circulation system is also a part that directly reflects the function of the industrial water chiller. It transmits the cold water to the equipment that needs to be cooled, and the cold water absorbs the heat of the equipment and then transmits it back. The refrigeration cycle system is a process of cooling the cold water that absorbs heat. The refrigerant sublimates and then compresses to bring the heat in the cold water to the outside for dissipation. The main control system is the part of power control and internal structural components control.

2. Difference between air-cooled and water-cooled industrial water chillers

The main difference between air-cooled industrial water chillers and water-cooled industrial water chillers is reflected in the different cooling methods of cold water by the refrigeration cycle system. Air-cooled chillers dissipate the heat generated by the refrigerant through the cooling fan on the condenser, while water-cooled chillers dissipate the heat generated by the refrigerant through the cold water in the external cooling tower.

The working principle of industrial water chiller is not complex. Although the users do not need to know in detail, they should at least know its working process. In case of failure in the process of use, they can have better countermeasures.
